Farouq Salama is a renowned Egyptian musician and composer, born in 1941. A master of the accordion, he played a pivotal role in modern Egyptian music by incorporating this instrument into Arabic compositions. He collaborated with some of the greatest artists in Arab music, including Oum Kalthoum, Abdel Halim Hafez, and Mohamed Abdel Wahab.
