2006 return of the Rock titans, albeit reduced to original members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend. To say that this album was "long awaited" doesn't even begin to describe the heightened anticipation by longtime Who fans for their first full length album of new material in 24 years. As Pete Townshend indicates in the liner notes, it was recorded "discontinuously" over four years and the 19 tracks reflect a band still pushing the boundaries of rock music and unafraid to experiment. Half of the album is the full-length version of the mini opera "Wire And Glass" which was released on an EP single in Summer 2006 as a sampler of what was to come along with nine more Townshend compositions.
