About This Release
In 1959, French film critic Jean-Luc Godard (Guillaume Marbeck) concluded that he could create better than what he'd been reviewing-and worked off an idea about a petty criminal's spree from colleague François Truffaut (Adrien Rouyard). Godard's chaotic approach, which would confound leads Jean-Paul Belmondo (Aubry Dullin) and Jean Seberg (Zoey Deutch), would spark the birth of French New Wave cinema, in Richard Linklater's impressive and affectionate paean. 106 min. Standard; Soundtrack: French DTS HD 5.1 Master Audio; Subtitles: English (SDH); audio commentary by Linklater; "making of" documentary; featurette; interviews; theatrical trailers; essays; more. In French with English subtitles. Two-disc set.
