Stony Plain was honored to release three highly acclaimed Joe Louis Walker albums, including "Between a Rock And the Blues" which won the Blues Foundation's Blues Album of the Year Award in 2010. Walker is an eclectic artist who has recorded with B.B. King, James Cotton, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Huey Lewis, Branford Marsalis, Shemekia Copeland and Ike Turner. Duke Robillard was the perfect producer for our first two Walker releases.A truly international artist, Walker's career continues to progress from strength to strength. In 2013 he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
