More Info:

Eddie Golden III - (Vocals, Drums) Colin Sullivan (Lead Guitar) Kyle McEvoy (Rhythm Guitar) Dan George (Bass) The Guru is a 4-Piece rock band that was formed in Watertown sometime in 2009. They began as a 3 piece until shortly Dan George joined them to play bass after they released their first CD "In Stereo". For the next 2 years they would play hundreds of shows all around Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York to establish themselves and develop a signature sound that is described by the band itself as "Disco-Rock" or "Psycho-Pop". In May 2011 they were asked to play B.O.M.B. Fest at the Hartford Comcast Theatre in Hartford, They played the Main Stage the first day right between Wavves and Titus Andronicus. Other artists that played B.O.M.B. Fest were Weezer, Snoop Dogg, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and many more. After playing B.O.M.B. Fest The Guru gained an even bigger following and gathered lots of press. On June 11th 2011 they released their debut studio album entitled "Native Sun". Native Sun is an 8 song CD that was recorded at Cottage Sound in Middlebury, CT. All the songs were written and produced by The Guru and recorded and mixed by Eddie Seville and The Guru. After the release of their album the shows only got bigger and better, they did a tour over the summer with friends/label mates High Pop called "The Teenage Sensation Tour" and played dozens of colleges and festivals with national acts. Recently The Guru has started their own record label called Seagreen Records with the money they have saved up as a chance to release their friends music for them and to keep complete control over their own recordings and art. They are currently in the studio recording their new album.
